NASA Releases Panoramic View of Mars! Warning: Contains billions and billions of pixels
A new interactive panorama of the Martian surface has just been released by NASA/JPL, and it’s just as cool as you’d expect. This massive view of the red planet is zoomable down to an incredible level of detail. Everything from the landing site to its eventual destination at Mt. Sharp is there in iron oxide-hued glory.
I’ve included a few of my favorite views above. First, an L-shaped sequence of frickin’ laser beam scars left over from the mast-mounted ChemCam (pew pew science!) Next, some notably shiny rocks, their silver surface made visible through the rusty dust. Finally, “J-P-L” written in morse code thanks to the code drilled into Curiosity’s wheels.

Keukenhop Tulip Garden, Netherlands
The Keukenhof Tulip Garden, also known as the Garden of Europe, is worlds largest flower garden with over seven milion planted flower bulbs. Keukenhof is unique, world famous and has been one of the most popular destinations in the Netherlands. It is located near the small dutch town of Lisse in South Holland. The Gardens organizes an annual international exhibition of flowers. Each year the Garden presents a different theme to delight its visitors.

Holy Mary, mother of fuck.
The 21-year-old Muslim woman, who was four months pregnant, was physically attacked by two men. The attackers first tried taking her headscarf off and later cut off her hair and tore part of her clothing. After she screamed out that she was pregnant, one of the attackers started kicking her in the stomach.
This is disgusting. Disgusting. It’s so easy to forget how much of humanity really sucks. Islamophobia is destroying lives, and nobody will even talk about it.
